HITL

hardware-in-the-loop modeling systems

Designation

HITL are hardware-in-the-loop systems designed for HIL testing and evaluation of behavior of guided missiles (GM) of various designation (including anti-aircraft guided missiles with semi-active or active homing heads) and surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems on the whole.

Global purpose

The global objective of the development of HITL simulators is to create a tool with which the user will be able to develop recommendations (action algorithms) for the pilot when he is fired at by various SAMs.

Capabilities

HITL systems enable:

— simulating different tactical situations when researching variants of combat employment of surface-to-air missile systems;

— researching the ultimate tactical characteristics of surface-to-air missile systems for destroying aerodynamic targets under various conditions of electronic countermeasures;

— evaluating the behavior of GMs in different aerial and jamming environments;

— studying the effectiveness of active and passive jamming of various types with the assigned characteristics;

— evaluating the jamming immunity of the seekers used in GMs.
